I couldn’t finish this series because it’s honestly not good. It wasn’t really RH other than she’s banging all the guys, which wasn’t stimulating reading at all, and bully romance is trash fantasy that’s a poorly executed trope that needs to stop. Really, get help for yourself if you think this is romance. But I’m even more disgusted that this series is being used in a pathetic revenge against another author or authors. It’s literally this author calling HAVOC on a fellow author and letting her minions (readers and other fellow authors) do the extra dirty work. From what I’ve learned, it’s unjustified and jealousy by CM too. It’s sick and pathetic. I’m all for authors using personal experiences to enhance their art, but a real artist knows how to do it right. This is a blatant threat to another. And weak, in my opinion, to take out absurd revenge. To see the character do it and rely on others the same way the author is as amusing as it is awful. I won’t support this behavior. I’ve seen sexual abuse on authors handled in the art of writing and witnessed true healing by their writing choice. Grow up and accept you’re not original. Revenge And authors who are too afraid to be another victim is for the weak. Everyone supporting this should be ashamed of themselves. To know a grown woman is a genuine mean girl and queen bee to thousands of adult readers is sad. Also, those who are trying to not support. Do not read through KU. I found out authors make more money that way. So you’re paying her to get her immature attack on another. If you must read, which you shouldn’t want to, and it’s not good anyway based on the first book alone, borrow someone’s physical copy. Shame on you, CM. Shame on all who support this author. *edit* to address why this is bullying. The author named a character after another indie author. Only changing the spelling of her name and used teasers stating this character would be killed by the harem in this series. That, regardless if you like bully romance is not cool. It’s awful. And all because another author wrote a book in the same trope. Rich boys at an academy, which has been done to death. So choose. I tried this author because people praise it. I thought the books were not good. My opinion. But I heard the details behind the book and the author targeting another author by naming a villain after this author for her characters to destroy. The evidence was too obvious to ignore, therefore I’m stating it in review because readers deserve to know what they’re supporting. And supporting attacks on another person in real life is shameful. This will be the last book I read from this author.Despite the fact that it needed a huge content edit, I wanted to finish the series.Then I found out the shameless bullying from this author. Really, do you think it is classy to name your antagonist after another author so you can kill her off? How old are you?I thought you were better than this. Maybe it sucks to take the high road. But you don't own tropes. You claimed you take care of these things in private but naming the character after them and letting your fans attack someone else isn't private. It's been over a year and you "won" maybe tell your fans to back off?Also you are just as guilty for stealing. If using the same tropes is plagerism, then you keep taking from Manga and anime. Except you get away with it since not all rh reader read Manga. And it's not just tropes you steal but actual characters. The Twins from Ouran... You basically stole them. So Kudos on those "original characters."I doubt this review will do any good. You obviously play victim very well. Just sad that an author I liked turned into a bully.
